Ice cream crab no.2 …
My sketchbook has become a marker blending funbox. Went a little rough on this one but I got some sweet gradients along the way.
Also this thing might be some type of coenobitid.
All in with the pencil on this extra crispy crab study. Such wonderful shapes to be found in these little creatures. More exploration is needed.

Andrew cano (@grey_dragon ) is back teaching our "Vis Com 1: Dynamic Sketching" online course & will guide students through the process of deconstructing complex objects into simple shapes and forms.
Students will learn how to break down any object and learn to quickly draw them from imagination. Class lecture topics range from organic forms such as plants, insects, animals to man-made objects such as cars, tanks and airplanes.
This course is one of the key foundations for our courses at @conceptdesignacad . All subsequent classes are designed to build on top of the drawing and observational skills learned from this course.
Class starts Sunday, Feb. 8th

Doing these crab studies, it’s hard to resist the urge to color them. (Especially when I have some new toys screaming at me) Oh well … the delicious testing continues!
