CLOSED for a little R&R while the streetscape are underway.
Re-opening Wednesday 3rd June
Any bookings after this date can be made via opentable
See you all in a month with a little makeover and a new menu!!
A little reset, a little inspiration ✨
With the streetscape works making their way up our end (and a quieter month already underway), we’re taking the opportunity to pause and recharge — closing for one month.
The exciting part? Our Chef Maddy is heading off to Italy 🇮🇹 to soak up some fresh inspiration for a brand new menu when we reopen 👀And Mel & Nige are off to Europe too… purely for “wine research” 🍷 (or maybe just a bit of taste testing 😉).
So this is your last week (for now!) to enjoy everything you love about Grenache Wine Bar. Join us before we close this Sunday — we’d love to see you in for one more glass, one more bite, and a proper send-off.
See you this week 🥂
It’s a pretty sad moment for us as we say goodbye (for now) to our outdoor dining area 💔
This space has been such a big part of what we do — GP sessions, sunset drinks, and great summer vibes shared out there with you. Unfortunately, it’s now being removed, and at this stage we’re still in the dark about exactly what will replace it.
We’re currently waiting to see what the new streetscape will provide, and while we’re hopeful, we genuinely don’t know what our future outdoor space will look like — or when we’ll have it back.
All we can say is we hope to be able to welcome you back to a beautiful outdoor dining area again, just like the ones further down the main street, but it’s looking unlikely. Until then, we’re feeling a bit uncertain and, honestly, pretty disappointed.
Thank you for all your support — it means everything to us. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more 🤍
We’re open this long weekend — Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 4pm 🍸
Seafood specials are back and ready to hit the table tonight… think fresh fish tacos, oysters, the return of our chargrilled octopus, and of course our crowd-favourite snapper.
Friday plans = sorted. Great food, signature cocktails, and good vibes waiting for you.
The news of losing our iconic MotoGP from Phillip Island is devastating.
This event is not just a world-class sporting spectacle — it is woven into the history and identity of our island. For generations of islanders, the GP has been part of our childhoods, our community.
Beyond its cultural significance, the financial impact cannot be overstated. MotoGP is the single biggest event of the year for many local businesses. It sustains them after the long, quiet winter months and allows them to continue trading until the summer season arrives. Losing it will be a severe blow — not just to individual operators, but to the island as a whole.
While progress and change are necessary, the timing and cumulative impact are deeply concerning. An uncertain economy, extended streetscape disruptions, the loss of our largest annual event, and significant commercial changes (McDonalds) on the horizon mean many local businesses are facing setback after setback.
Phillip Island is on the cusp of major change. We have always appreciated the local support we receive, now more than ever, it is vital to support the local businesses that give this island its character, employ our community, and keep it thriving — even in the toughest of times.
This loss will be felt far and wide, and it will be devastating for Phillip Island.
We’ve been busy bees 🐝 and are returning to 6 nights a week (closed Mondays) after this one.
If you enjoy a calm night, good food, and fewer people stealing your elbow space — this Monday is for you.
Our staff would love the workout 😜
