A Christmas Card painting for you all. Given out to my wonderful Strictly friends for our last show this evening. You’ll get to see me in my dreaded Samba shirt one last time in the Group Dance. Enjoy…

Baking a beautiful whole sea bass this evening. Chopped spring onions and ginger root with a smattering of butter. Bake at 180c, Gas Mark 4 for 20 minutes or so (until the flesh goes white). Don’t overcook!! Absolutely gorgeous and so easy! I’m having it with batons of courgette and carrot with a grating of nutmeg… yum.

Scottish autumnal beauty in the hills and in the forests - wild fungus: orange peel and stag’s horn and tiny button ones I don’t know the name of. And the most glorious ends of days… Love to all

Making Ossobuco for lunch tomorrow (always best to make a sort of stew like this the day before…) A gorgeous dish. And a long, slow cook. Beautiful. Happy weekend everyone xxx

If thinking about assisted dying is a bit much for the start of your day, here’s something a bit more soothing: an egg cup and plate I made for my beautiful wife’s birthday this year…

This is obviously a very thorny issue - assisted dying. But something we should all have a good think about…

So looking forward to heading up to my workshop in the hills to use other bits of creativity. This a spoon I carved for my daughter, Gaia…
