It was while he was out in the water with his son, that Greg realized something wasn't right. Greg was diagnosed with ALS in 2023. Devastating news, through which he maintains his trademark positivity.
On Saturday, April 27, @gregsworld will be inducted into the Hermosa Beach Surfer's Walk of Fame. A legend, immortalized.

I wake up everyday thinking this is all just a crazy dream. I guess it’s time to embrace the reality. Before I was diagnosed a good friend of mine @kristenriderbeatty5280 connected me with the entire team of the ALS Golden West chapter who offered support and guidance through this crazy road. This Sunday at UCLA they are putting on their annual walk to raise money and awareness for the disease. I am planning to be there to give back to them with the team. Amazing day watching my son Drew marry his best friend. We are so excited to have you as part of the Browning family Corina. It was so incredible to watch Parker play the first dance for them. So fun to hang out with the family.
It’s been a crazy couple weeks since getting diagnosed with ALS but I am so thankful and appreciative of everyone that has written,called and stopped by to check in on me. I am so grateful to the community that has donated to the go fund me. I am so much better at helping others then being helped myself. It’s going to be a crazy road ahead but I am as ready as someone can be. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
