Big News! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that we've been awarded £220,617 from the National Lottery to support our work over the next four years!!! This means we are firmly into the next stage of the Gregson’s story… We want to say a huge thank you to everyone for getting the Gregson to this point. The future of this incredible community-owned asset could have looked very different after the pandemic, but because of your support, our charity has gone from strength to strength. Now, we’ve been nationally recognised for our efforts - for your efforts in recent years and over the decades. The next step is to look towards the future, and ensure that this feel-good-story continues. This funding is an investment into the next phase of the Gregson. It will allow us to flex and expand our staff team, engage with more volunteers, and collaborate with local organisations through a Wellbeing Programme - offering 5 groups a year support to deliver targeted work in our spaces and engage the most underrepresented people in our community. Ultimately, the funding will support planning for the long-term environmental and financial sustainability of the Gregson’s historic Victorian building, ensuring it can continue to serve our community for generations to come. There’s never been a more exciting time to get involved in the Gregson as we continue to develop this incredible community asset and dream big about the future. So, why not get involved? 👇👇👇 gregson.co.uk/get-involved

Welcome, Queer By Gum! 💖 Earlier this year did a callout for local artists and organisations to 'innovate our space' and we're delighted to announce that Queer By Gum CIC were the successful applicants. Queer by Gum is an inspiring LGBTQ+ organisation that creates safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community in Lancaster & Morecambe through running workshops, creative activities and building community. ➡️Swipe to see the transformation of their space! Want to find out more? You're invited to the official ✨ House Warming Party ✨ - Thursday 27th November. 🔗More info on this at: /event/queer-by-gum-house-warming-party-the-gregson/ None of this would've been possible without fundraising efforts from community members in 2019 to initially refurbish the room.

Fancy Making a Brew? ☕ We're on the lookout for people to join our incredible team of Cafe Bar Volunteers!🤝 The Cafe Bar is our most popular volunteering role - a sociable and sometimes very busy role that is essential to making the Gregson go round. You'll be trained up on making coffees, pulling pints, and generally keeping things running smoothly, and you'll always be supervised by a paid member of staff. It's the perfect role for meeting new people, learning new skills and immersing yourself in a busy community venue. We're particularly after people available on Wednesday day times Interested? Get in touch with our volunteer manager Marianne: [email protected]
