I first met Véronique and Nicolas in 2013, just a few months after Kate and I took over Martine’s Wines, our very first offer was the 2011 vintage, quickly followed by 2012. That feels like so long ago now. Yet, I opened this Bourgogne Blanc BB 2012 — after 14 years, that freshness, that precision, exactly as I remembered it. It tasted like yesterday. It reminded me exactly why we fell head over heels for these wines back then, and why, we are still as enamored today.

The Michel Bouzereau Grands Charrons walking that perfect Meursault tightrope — tension and richness in flawless balance, and dangerously drinkable right now. The Dugat-Py Petite Chapelle ’96 was a revelation, fresher and more electric than the ’95 — grand cru material. A bt of Alphonse Pillot Aligoté 1970 that had no business being that alive and delicious, and a Layon 1964 that was a beautiful surprise, still going strong after all these years.

As the 2024's from Thibault are making their way to us, it’s thrilling to see him garner ongoing acclaim back home. His innovative approach to viticulture, biodynamics, and winemaking over the past 15 years has resulted in some of the most thrilling wines in the Cote De Beaune today.

Another excellent lunch at Fete, 22 Agisson Pouilly Fume is in a great place right now, so pure, Chateau de Fonsalette 12 is a beauty, more open than the 11 right now, excellent right out of the bottle

Precise viticulture. Minimal intervention. Extraordinary terroir. When the winemaking is this intelligent and the land this exceptional, the south of France can deliver some of the most refined wines in the world. #domainedetrevallon #santaduc

Such a treat to share this bottle with Omri, while not from a highly regarded vintage, this was gorgeous, quite ripe, fresh and full, Omri said that the Robin sisters always harvested Lafleur late, as they were picking their other property, Chateau Le Gay, first, often resulting in unexpected concentration and depth in the so called "weaker vintages"

An eye-opening experience lat night, i'm obsessed with the bold flavors, perfectly executed and mouth watering cuisine of Semma, with flawless service by the team at Olivella. Don't let anybody tells you that great Indian Cuisine doesn't pair with classic wines. Thank you, Sarah and Chef Vijay for an incredible evening of learning and discovery.
