What disappears here isn’t an illusion — it’s choreography.
The last few weeks, my feed has been all sunlight, grass, and ocean air from “You Are the Piece” at Hamptons Dance Project. This one’s different.
This is Act II of The Power of Collision — filmed from the house, in darker light, with a trick hidden in plain sight: the bricks you see in the opening slowly… disappear. Performer by performer, hand by hand, the walls come down until only space is left.
It’s one of my favorite sequences to stage because it asks you to watch twice — once for the movement, and once for what’s quietly leaving the frame.
