Over the past year, I have had the chance to tell so many love stories through acting. Some of these are straight stories and some are LGBT, but I draw on the same resources of hope, pain, vulnerability, and heart to do my best to embody these characters. The majority of the reaction online has been so positive and supportive. But the LGBT stories in particular tend to receive hate from the same old tired and prejudiced sides of the internet. This song is my response to that hate. “I like to be the talk of the town”, so keep talking 😏.
Shoutout to my friend and incredible collaborator @bestmannmusic , whose capable hands and sharp pen cowrote and produced this track in such a short period of time. I have never laughed more while writing a song as we honed in on the message.
