What did I - a Mortal Kombat stan and fanboy since the first game on Super NES - think about Mortal Kombat 2?
I think my T-shirt represents my feelings about the movie! I was in from beginning to end! Definitely made for the fans, especially the ones who care about the lore and characters. Everyone felt close to exactly accurate to their personalities, characteristics, and motivations. The fights! The brutality! The deaths! Felt the many characters were well balanced although a few could have used more time, but then it would have just been a longer film. Which I would have welcomed! This rectified so many issues from the first film. If you were disappointed by the last one, don’t let it deter you. I’m also type glad they used the first film to introduce the general lore and we can just jump right into the tournament.
If you’re not a fan of Mortal Kombat as a whole, may not be for you. The story is fairly simple and this film gets it right. Its fun, fast paced, dynamics… its MY Mortal Kombat film.
Got to see it with my same guys I saw the last film with. And I had to rep my boy, Kung Lao, who was an absolute MENACE!! 😭 And why did I love Baraka so much? 🤣
MK 2 team… bravo. Y’all did that shit! I can’t wait to watch it again… maybe this week! 😅

Diversity Within Diversity is a dynamic panel that explores the rich spectrum of Black creativity within comics and fiction. Too often, Black creators are grouped under a single narrative, but this discussion breaks that mold - spotlighting the individuality, varied experiences, and cultural nuances that shape their work.
From Afro-futurism to street-level storytelling, from diasporic fantasy to slice-of-life realism, the panel celebrates the many ways Black voices interpret, reimagine, and expand genre spaces. This panel invites audiences to see the creative power of difference - not as division, but as the heartbeat of a vibrant and evolving artistic community.
Join us on May 14th at 8:30pm Eastern as you learn more from the panel of amazing indie creatives, Greg A.
