📰‼️ UM OKAY. John Patrick Green (the mastermind behind InvestiGators) just recommended Dex Dingo in his New York Times book roundup! His piece is about how animal comics made grown-up themes feel exciting to him as a kid, from Mrs. Frisby to Spider-Ham, and Dex made the list as one of his recent faves. He described it perfectly: a fourth-grade dingo whose plan to make the world better goes hilariously sideways. I’m just psyched Dex got mentioned in the Times! Thank you @johngreenart for the love and @disneybooks for bringing Dex to life.
📚😎💯Henderson Reads was SO much fun. Got to hang with some incredible authors, meet a bunch of amazing readers, and discover new books. And yes, we were right next to Las Vegas — but this was the place to be! #hendersonreadsbookfestival #dexdingo
Come hang with me Saturday ✌️ Henderson Reads Book Festival — Water Street Plaza, April 25th, 10am–4pm. Books, authors, activities, and come say hi, even if just to say hi.#hendersonreadsbookfestival #dexdingo
🙌🏽💯Fantastic day at the @sabookfestival with so many wonderful authors and book lovers. I got to team up again with @disneybooks labelmate @howdycsjennings for a discussion with moderator Erika Murray. Met new Caldecott honoree @zpvisual for the first time, and got to catch up with the masterful @johngreenart about his newest Investigators series spinoff. All thanks to @annadobben for also having me read at Roosevelt Elem and getting books into kids hands (so many incredible students) 🙏🏽🤍

📚💯Went to TLA 2026 to champion Dex Dingo Book 2. Left with renewed awe of librarians, kid’s books, and the unlikely concentration of talented people in one convention center.
Huge thanks to the librarians who received the book from Disney Books, everyone who came to the panel, and the old and new friends who made the whole thing feel less like “networking” and more like a (bookish) family reunion.
Also: what a crowd… Mac Barnett & Shawn Harris with The Future Book, Kate Micucci casually debuting her first book with Mo Willems, James Burks whose books are favorites with my kids, hero Judd Winick launching a new series, Beth Mills and her hilarious No More Gnomes, plus Disney labelmates Kirk Reedstrom and C.S. Jennings.
Anyway, TLA was excellent, librarians are the real main characters, and I’m leaving with more gratitude than shelf space. Link in bio for free Dex Activity Kit and updates on book 3!!! @txla_1902@disneybooks
🙌🏽💯 School Visits Rule!!! I had the best time today at @beckerelementarylibrary reading, drawing, laughing, and getting some great ideas from the very astute 2nd & 3rd graders. Thank you for the incredibly sweet box of “Thank You” notes and chocolates. As we say in Tagalog “salamat!”
