Late last night was crazy. After a chase, Rubim de Toledo and I were able to catch up to the thief and he dropped my stuff. I assume he dropped the items because along with the items he had a hammer on him. Scared, I grabbed both bags and ran back to my car where the other guys you see in my picture were thankfully waiting. The the thief followed us back to my car and my pals kept him occupied while I called 911. They arrived and the thief ran for it, leaving his hammer on the ground near by. They (along with a few other police cars) chased him for 2 blocks and eventually caught him.
One of the last, if not the last time this vehicle was downtown, it got several thousand dollars worth of stuff stolen out of it. The police last night told me it is so bad downtown now that they suggest to stay away from the area at all costs. I will do my best to follow their advice.
I’m still in shock that my dear friend Ted Chrusciel has suddenly left us. I still don’t really know what to say as this will take me a long time to deal with. What I do know is that he always made me feel appreciated and loved. I can only hope that he felt the love that we all had for him. I’m honoured to have spent so much time with him and to call him a friend. Rest in peace Ted xoxo
