Started as a more mellow indie tune and morphed into something different. An anthem that pulls from my early alternative roots and feels right at home at sunrise or sundown. Really enjoyed writing this one with my boy Xhane. His words and vocals brought it home. Out today on all platforms ⚖️🦅

‘Anytime, Anytime’ my second release through @craft_museum_ is out today on all platforms.
Two things I think about constantly are process and output. Process that can guide a creative direction or sound and be a major factor in working from a place of joy and freedom. Then how it relates directly to output, which is a constant battle for artists. How do we hold on to the essence of what made a piece great when we started working on it. There’s a moment in the first working sessions that lights you up and gets you excited to share it with others. Then it becomes the battle of not losing that essence along the journey of finishing it. It’s the discipline of keeping space for the right things and removing what is not needed until the very end. Progress is made through finishing and output is therapeutic.
‘Anytime, Anytime’ is the first track where I truly felt like I had a direction for my process of making music. Using select hardware synths, drum machines and outboard gear to carve personality and character into each element and working in a way that forces you to commit. There’s a human touch to the way things move and an imperfectness to it.
Enjoy the energy of this one. ⚖️🔋
