*Pieced* some *tile* pics together to meet you at the *vestibule* of direct-to-consumer, digital archive to print catalog, *walked-on* to *walked-all-over*, to present you with this zine. it is a red, blue, + light lime risograph printed exercise in *closing the door* and there might be maybe 10 copies around… who knows?
enTilely new? maybe not to you!
featuring the floors of: the bathroom at promontory point, a school stairwell, the bathroom at klezkanada, an empty storefront, and vestibules in new york and your very own chicago.
maybe a zine of the tile series in 2026…

this is a hand-painted watercolor illustration i made for @tzedekchicago depicting people engaging in a series of jewish acts and rituals such as: unification beneath the chuppah, doing the hora in a messy spiral, fighting loudly for palestinian liberation and an end to the occupation, mourning in community, diasporic placemaking in a sukkah, chiming in on the shabbes zoom call, studying with the chaverim, basking in the warm glow of the shabbes candles, working that challah dough and just freaking talking and chilling on a grassy knoll. i hope you can find yourself a place, somewhere in this work. sometimes painting is prayer. there will be a limited print run available at the tzedek fundraiser tonight, and i am happy to print more based on interest. xo eb #freepalesti̇ne #endtheoccupation #gazawillbefree #tzedekchicago
one week ago, a bunch of us cool chicago jews lovingly staged HOUSE OF DREAMS at the firehouse art studio. it was a treat and a dream to illustrate this zine for my community, to see it held in so many hands, then scattered and danced all over by the end of the show. thank you to everyone involved in the production and to all of the dreamers in physical and spiritual attendance. אַ גרויסע מיל דאַנק, חבֿרים!
