I don’t really illustrate as much as I should, but @casaflores.co reached out to get some help with their logo and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to assist some friends with their new cafe at the time! This logo incorporates a hand-drawn approach with three national flowers of Spain to represent each of the three sisters of Casa Flores. Intentional imperfections were left to retain a sense of authenticity and humbleness. Glad to have been able to help establish their visual identity with this one. It’s been almost 6 years since I designed @anna.cutz logo early in my career—and now we’ve come full circle.
We’ve collaborated again, both of us more established in our crafts, to establish the initial branding for her educational content. Here’s a glimpse into adaptv.edu, where she teaches barbering and real-life skills to those looking to level up themselves in the world of barbering.
The mark was designed with the concept tied to the precision of shears, the guidance of a compass, and community/individuality in mind. Looking forward to her brand’s growth and continuing impact!
Digging out from the archives. This was a type project I was working on in February 2023 during a 10 week type design course. I honestly had so much fun during this process however, crazy events in life put me into a dark place, forcing me out of this project prematurely. For a while, the thought of this project was so tied to the trauma I experienced at the time and I could never return back to this. For now, just sharing snippets of that endeavor as new things have sprouted from this experience.

A pleasure to work on some marketing and branding pieces for The Singing Christmas Tree's upcoming theatre production this December! It's been a local tradition that is being revived.
The client and I talked about getting some work done for this year's show, Grandma's Unplugged Christmas, as well as next year's logo for the following show, Christmas Radio Days.
Grandma's Unplugged Christmas is a story that revolves around detaching from modern technology and celebrating grandma's "old-fashioned" Christmas. In that case, my direction was to make a piece with handmade intricacies and feel, nodding towards analog techniques.
Next year's show, Christmas Radio Days, takes place in the 40s, so I dipped back into the design trends of that decade, looking into old editorial advertisements and graphics.

Custom lettering done for @hazaelnut08 . She wanted to get a tattoo piece done that incorporates her birthday with her late grandpa's birth year—her birthday being 3.3.91 and his birth year 1933. With such beautiful meaning, I kept it simple with the type treatment, designing with a calligraphic direction.
Also, this was my first time using Glyphs app. Finally was able to get back onto Mac and try out this software! It's very much still a learning process with the app and type design itself. If you may have any resources or tips on improving my letterforms, feel free to let me know :)
