4 months ago we thought we were losing you, and you fought hard every single day since then. Fought so that we could have just a few more phone calls, a few more visits, a few more jokes, a few more trips to DQ for ice cream or Chappy’s for lunch. A few more hugs. 4 more months added to a lifetime of memories & love, that I was able to appreciate even more knowing nothing was guaranteed. I’m grateful for every hug, every puzzle, every lunch, every moment spent with you, and even more grateful for the family you raised with love, humour, & heart. I’ll miss you Grandma, but I promise we’ll take care of eachother, & I know we’ll be okay because we had you to guide us all our lives.
HEADSTONES •
A month has passed since one of the most fulfilling experiences of my film journey so far. Receiving these BTS photos exactly a month after, and the wave of feelings I felt after wrap have come rushing back, and I can start to formulate the words to now post & express my gratitude and immense love for this team •
This is a project that, since the beginning, I knew would be a massive undertaking— I considered scrapping, rewriting, paring down— making it less weird. I faced doubts, constantly. What I didn’t know, though, is that this community— this group of friends, family, colleagues, and artists— would rally around such an immense, impossible task with so much dedication, and love for this medium and each other, and do everything in their power to ultimately make something that I think will be truly special— if nothing else for the fact that such a thing made it to a screen. I have been blown away by the support of these individuals, their contributions— their passion for making stories in Saskatchewan, no matter the effort required. I could not imagine a greater group of people to have around me, supporting, leading, and contributing their incredible talents to bring something like Headstones to life.
Everyone on this team has my unending gratitude, but I’d be remiss to not specifically mention a few people who this production simply wouldn’t have happened without. Denise & Olivia, the star producer & AD combo who kept this film (and me) alive and on track. Kyler, for being on board with my vision for this film since day one, and for ordering lenses from a literal warzone because I wanted a ‘vintage look’. Levi, for being not only the creative mastermind behind the physical world of Headstones, but a wise creative mentor and, most importantly- an incredible support and friend through all the ups and downs of this production. Because holy hell have there been a lot. Finally, Robyn & Bailey— you’ve been two of the most professional, talented people I’ve ever had the pleasure to direct, and you brought Lena and Graham’s characters to life in ways I could have never imagined.
Thank you all, so much—Headstones would not have happened without you
CASTING CALL • PAID
Super excited to share the official casting call for my upcoming short film ‘HEADSTONES.’ This will be a very fun, very weird film full of quirk and question marks, but with a big heart at its core.
I’m hoping to spread this casting call far and wide, and to open it up to actors outside of just Regina (so Saskatoon, rural SK friends, feel free to reach out!), and would really appreciate all your help in sharing this call as much as possible!
Also- a huge huge thank you to the wonderfully talented @art.by.sadie@thereal_slimsadie for putting in hours upon hours of work painting the wonderfully weird backdrop for this casting call.
Get ready to put the ‘fun’ in ‘funeral’ 😉 Beyond excited to announce my next short film, ‘Headstones,’ which will film this upcoming Summer with an entirely local cast and crew of Saskatchewan creatives. So incredibly grateful to have the support of Sask-Arts Independent Artists’ grant in making this— truly a dream come true.
Now let the long and exciting road towards production begin!

Insanely grateful to be coming back from Winnipeg and the #UWPGFilmFest with 1 award win & 6 nominations for ‘Breadhead!’, but the best part was just getting to celebrate and enjoy some adventures with two of my favourite people— and two people who this film could not have been made without 🫶🏻🎬

(+Special congrats to @grayroko14 for taking home best supporting performance for his incredible work in our film 💪🏼)
🎞️ As final post-production wraps up on my short film ‘Breadhead!,’ I’m once again reminded just how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many incredibly talented and kind individuals, who all came together to help me bring this crazy, silly, overly-ambitious project to fruition. My gratitude hasn’t wavered for a second since pre-production, and will continue for a long long time. Thankful for each and every one of you 🫶🏻
++Special thanks to @lacnostudios and @emilyeskolacno for taking and compiling these incredible BTS photos from the shoot 📸
23 is starting to sound a bit too serious but I’m happy to report that I, still, am not.

Thanks to everyone who made my last film gala/awards night at the U of R so memorable. This group of people is seriously something special and I couldn’t have pulled off hosting this thing without such an incredible FSA team around me. Immensely grateful for all of you 🫶🏻
Really excited to share the casting call for my short film ‘Breadhead!’ which will be my final senior film produced with the U of R. It’s shaping up to be a wonderfully weird little film— please share this casting call with anyone who you think would be interested!
