Fellow fabric enthusiasts, get in here 😂 Have you ever bought a fabric (or a new outfit) and loved the feel so much that the first thing you did once you got home was take it out of the bag to admire it again? If you get it, you get it. We absolutely loved this fabric we sourced for Felicia — it was exactly what her design needed. The texture, the weight, the movement… everything worked. The feel was just a plus. Fabric sourcing is a huge part of good design. The right fabric brings a concept to life; the wrong one can completely ruin it. For this dress, no other fabric would have done it justice. Always trust your designer’s advice — not every fabric works for every style, no matter how beautiful it looks online. Custom pieces start with the right fabric. Felicia’s dress is an original Grayc design. #customfashion #luxuryfashion #bespokefashion #fashiondesigner #womesweardesigner #fabricsourcing #fabricmatters #designprocess #nigeriandesigner #GraycDesigns

We may have made the dress, but Evy bodied it! Feminine. Intentional. Unapologetic.

“I’m a business woman now, I have to do a birthday shoot so people can see what we do. Let’s make a dress” - madame Grayc And here we are months later. Sometimes we have plans we don’t follow through on in the moment, but that is okay as long as you never feel like it’s too late to finish what you’ve started. No one is perfect, we’re all still learning and growing. So here is to a dress that made it to your feed much later than it should have 🥂 Let’s know in the comments if this post has encouraged you to get on that thing you’ve been putting off

Here’s how our first fitting with Joanna went. Hear in this original audio you can hear the team continuing a discussion they were having even before Joanna arrived about the dress’ structure. Here at Grayc we live, breathe and eat your designs coming to life. Little secret, not shown in this video is how Joanna gushed about her dress after changing out of it, she was so excited because she could already see that she would be getting exactly what she ordered. #whatiorderedversuswhatigot #wedeliver #graduation #tailorinlagos

Eniola’s dress 😍😍 One thing we love about Eni is she always has an inspiration she wants the team to draw from and the team always delivers! In the making of this dress a creative choice was made to alter the agreed upon design a bit to suit the fabric choice better, can you spot one thing we changed? #designerinlagos #tailorinlagos #asoebi #wedding

The story of Joanna’s dress… We decided to show you the journey from sketch to final fitting. It was amazing working with Joanna’s stylist @bebyjayi to create this dress for the stunning Joanna and her big day. #graduation #styleinspo #tailorinlagos

Just as comparison is the thief of joy, fear is the thief of dreams. I ushered 2025 in with my induction into the pharmacy profession. The day I was accepted into pharmacy school I was so scared. I stared at the admission letter for what seemed like an eternity. Someone observing me would think I was happy that I couldn’t believe my eyes. I, instead was contemplating handing the letter back to the staff who handed it to me. When my parents stood up and left the office, i unwillingly followed them. When we were at the bank to pay the first half of my fees, I almost screamed at my father to stop at the moment he was passing the teller over the cold stonecounter. I couldn’t sleep that night. I kept having nightmares. Don’t get me wrong, this was something I had wanted for such a long time, a miracle that I had prayed and fasted for. Infact some days prior, I had already lost hope and had fallen in tears and asked God why. I had surrendered to His will, because I had thought that maybe this dream that I had dreamt was no longer in line with His will. But in less than a week, He had shown up and redirected me into the beginning of the fulfillment of my dream. My miracle was in my lap, and I couldn’t sleep from anxiety and fear. I doubted myself. What if I failed? Not just pharmacy school but what if I failed as a pharmacist? Was it possible for a sick girl to survive the rigors and stress of pharmacy school? The school was too far from home, the experience different from what I had planned, how would I cope? But the next morning I woke up and went to school with my heart beating and my palms sweating. I wrote my exams with shaking legs and a racing mind. And I passed. With trepidation and uncertainty weighing on my chest, I stepped into a political position for the first time in my life. In confusion, I wrote my first thesis and with overwhelming confusion I wrote my final thesis. I pursued my dreams in the midst of fear and ringing doubts in my head. Despite the fear, I accomplished my goal. And this is what it truly means to overcome the fear. I always thought that meant somehow the fear has to be gone before I can move.
