Can you envision transforming a ready-to-wear dress into an exquisite rehearsal or reception gown with bespoke tailoring?
Artisanal Construction Reconstruction vs. Alterations: Unlike standard alterations, artisanal remakes often involve completely cutting apart and rebuilding a gown, which may include changing the silhouette, lowering necklines, adding sleeves, or incorporating new luxury fabrics.

Booking and Expectations for Bridal Appointments 👰🏽♀️
Spaces are limited, excepting 25 bridal and 10 bridesmaids per month 💃🏼
When scheduling your bridal appointments, it is recommended to book at least six months in advance. Your initial fitting will be scheduled a minimum of ten weeks prior to the wedding date. Please ensure you have your ceremony shoes or your heel height at this time. 👠 If you have multiple gowns for reception and/or rehearsal, please notify me when booking to allocate sufficient time.
Scheduling Pick-up
Following your fitting, you will be scheduled to pick up your gown two to three weeks before your wedding date. If you are actively losing weight, this will be discussed during the fitting, and it is crucial to maintain a consistent weight thereafter.
Pricing Information
Our pricing structure is based on the time required for each gown, considering factors such as custom changes to sleeves/necklines, multiple layers, boning, horsehair hems, crinolines, and blind hemlines and bustle types. Each gown is meticulously crafted, lace hems are removed and reapplied according to your ceremony shoe height. All gowns are steamed and pressed before pick-up.
Scheduling Bridesmaids Gowns
For bridesmaids gowns, it is recommended to book appointments at least three months in advance. The first fitting should take place four to six weeks prior to the wedding date, and pick-ups will be scheduled two weeks before the wedding. Please ensure bridesmaids have their shoes or know their heel height.
Out-of-State Brides
We accommodate out-of-state brides' travel schedules, requiring a minimum of two appointments.
I ask that my time be respected and appointments that are no longer needed be cancelled ahead of time. No call no shows will not be rescheduled.
A day in the life of a bridal gown seamstress.
I wanted to highlight a few crucial steps involved in achieving a flawless fit. This gown required lace removal on the bodice and hemline, adding some lace detail in the décolletage.
Attention to details is essential in this line of work.

Did you know, when deciding to remake your mother’s gown into a fun reception dress you aren’t obligated to keep the original design! You have options, rearranging the lace, reusing the neckline or the lace on the sleeves! When working with gowns from this era, they typically weren’t made with a structured lining, this gown needed the structure in order to make a strapless. We used the extra skirt fabric to recut a lining and structured with lots of boning. The loops and tie for the corset were made with the skirt as well. This remake was lots of fun for my creative side and I look forward to what the future has in store for more remakes 😍 laniehemmingsen
