My first album release! The soundtrack to our new movie GAYS AGAINST GUNS will be released on June 12th to mark ten years since the Pulse night club shooting. It's a very eclectic soundtrack, and veers from upbeat house and electro tunes to rich emotional soundscapes. For me, it was the sound of the dance floor that became the beating heart of this score, as it was also the catalyst for this film. No matter how far we stray from the dance floor, it always stays with us. Thanks for the support!

A New Year, and the first release on my new record label - Gravity Loop Records. 
 This first release feels timely as we hopefully begin a year of greater kindness and empathy than the one we have just made it through. It’s a downtempo electronic track with a message of hope and you can listen via the link in my bio.
 A little background on the track. On the day Catherine Connolly was inaugurated as the new president of Ireland, my friend @unamullally sent me a video from her street with the sounds of cannons being set off to mark the occasion, a rare display of anything military in Ireland. Mixed with the distant sounds of cannons were the ever present squawks of Dublin seagulls. They’re everywhere in the city. 

I took these sounds and sampled them into a drum machine, and that’s how this track started. Later I sampled a couple of lines from the new President’s inauguration speech where she speaks about the energy and enthusiasm of her supporters on the campaign trail, and how she wants now to be a president for all Irish people.
 Here in New York where I live we’ve just witnessed something very similar with the unprecedented election of @zohrankmamdani as New York City mayor. He too in his acceptance speech promised to be a mayor for all New Yorkers. Two new leaders, two people led campaigns, in two countries I call home. And with both, a spirit of generosity and empathy that maybe we haven’t seen from politicians in a while. We see the emergence of hope. I’ll be releasing music throughout the year, much of it film soundtracks, some made more for the dance floor than the cinema. An eclectic mix of sounds, and I’d be so happy if you can listen in as I roll out the releases.
