Proud to say that I have been riding Forbidden Bikes for five years!
I first took out a Dreadnought in October 2020 and was instantly hooked. That high pivot witchcraft is no joke!
I’ve been fortunate to ride many different Forbidden models over the years and share my passion for them with our staff, race teams and the people I coach.
These world-class bikes are designed and built for challenging terrain and truly excel at descending.
2026 will be another amazing year riding awesome Forbidden bikes that are engineered and designed right here in Cumberland. Very excited to see what Forbidden amazingness comes to the trails and tracks this year ahead.
Some Gravity MTB Racing stats…..
⚡️In 2022 four team athletes rode Dreadnoughts at some World Cups and World Champs in Europe.
🥇Eva Leikermoser won multiple Elite Canada Cup DH races in 2022.
🏆Brock Hawes (then junior) beat everyone including all the Pro Men at the 2023 National Championships on a proto Supernought.
🏆Megan Pretorius takes a National Championship in 2025 on a Supernought.
🥇🥈🥉We have delivered many Forbidden podiums over the years!
Psyched to see what we can do in 2026!
🇨🇦🏆🤘🏼

Trackside World Champs.
Champèry, Always changing, challenging conditions.
Big rain, thunder lightning, greasy rock, new lines/ruts form and then disappear just as quickly. Sunshine and heat, track picks up rapid speed. Steep as!!
Not a lot of line choice but need to be no further than millimeters from where you want to be.

Junior Race Day!
Suns out and so are the big guns!
Conditions dried up and track became rapid!
Practice was mint and the crew was Vibin.
After Ryders first lap he decided not to race as he was feeling effects from his visor breaking crash yesterday.
Tayte was the first 🇨🇦 to drop and she had a very solid run which she ended up 12th overall on the day.
Rafe was first to drop for the boys and had a way better run than yesterday and ended up 45th
Next up, Jack Mccredie. Jack laid down a great run ended up P16 on the day.
Anthony Shelly was next in the gate and had a smooth solid run which is what he wanted. P29 on the day.
On deck, Mateo Quist pinned it out of the gate and finished 24th and is a happy young man.
Our final Canadian Junior to drop was Benny De Vall. Looking super solid down the first straight and with a good run placed 34th to wrap things up.
An amazing day of racing for the team! Such a wicked experience for these young up and coming athletes is second to none!
Many lessons learned, new experiences, and new friends made.
Huge thanks and gratitude to our very awesome crew of staff!! Coach Claire Buchar, mega mechanics Loic Meier and Darren Burns, and doctor Andre Lui. To all our sponsors, supporters and donators. Without you we wouldn’t be able to host these junior DH projects.
The young Canadians very talented and the future is bright and shiny!
Tomorrow the team will be trackside watching the Elites throw down and go for gold!!
Go Canada Go!!!

Qually Day!!
The weather came in late yesterday afternoon and rained all night.
Track was actually in better shape than we expected but a couple sections deteriorated over time.
Everyone had fun in practice, the crew was firing!
Once qualifying came around a few nerves set in but everyone was calm and cool going into the gate.
Almost everybody crashed in their run and I mean Everyone!!
6 of our 7 junior men made it through. Austin unfortunately did not. He hit a spectator and requested a rerun but was denied 👎🏼
Tayte made it in 🙌🏻
Megan with a crash sadly did not.
All being said it was a really good day!!
Our mechanics were working hard all day to keep the bikes clean and in proper working order and they did an amazing job!! We couldn’t be here without them! Massive thanks to Darren and Loic 🤘🏼
Rest, stretch, regroup, refocus, eat, sleep.
Race day tomorrow for our squad!
Elites practice and qualify Saturday afternoon.
Go Canada Go!!
