Gravesend Cricket Club was proud to host the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund Cricket Match on Wednesday 25th June, T20 match between Iron Pier Brewery X1 V Gravesend CC.
It was a very poignant day as the match was played on the 5th anniversary of Elliott’s death. He took his own life in 2020, and the fund was set up to assist better mental health and wellbeing for people living in our local community. Centred around the cricket match with a bbq, music and fund raising, a crowd of 150+ people attended. We are pleased to announce that in excess of £5,000 was raised for the fund. Thank you to Elliott’s family, Phil Painter and Iron Pier Brewery team for organising the event and to all at GCC who assisted in making this important charity event such a great success.
