I had the pleasure of spending the past week in Istanbul, truly the most beautiful place I have ever been. Roman ruins, Ottoman palaces, minarets over the skyline, cats watching your every step - seven days was not enough to take it all in.
I finished cutting my first proper cello bridge today! Not too shabby. Shoutouts to @barsabridges for the unique blank and Kevin Chapin for his patient supervision xD
I built a giant calendar! Thanks so much to @sprucecoffeenhv for the opportunity to work on something so cool. Also included a couple other woodworking projects from the past season!
Never miss an event again!! Thanks so much @das.gravy who made this calendar with his bare hands and gifted it to us for all to enjoy โค๏ธ๐๏ธ
And of course @cjdipasquale for getting his chalk on all morning!!
Finally finished a build I've wanted to do for a year or so - a 45 liter, solid maple and oak, three way loud speaker. Every part of this cabinet is hardwood, right down to the bracing and the port. It measures insanely well, and sounds absolutely ethereal to listen to.
This is a prototype for a design I wish to start manufacturing and sell next year. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.
I've been woodworking and doing speaker design on and off for about five years now. Five years of literal blood, sweat and tears; five years of heartwarming success and fire pit failures. This year, I feel that I am beginning to hit my stride in this craft, and I gotta say, it feels (and sounds) pretty good. Very excited to see where all this will go. More to come.
Not exactly sure what to call this, but it holds pre-weighed coffee beans for espresso. Fun little project, oak and walnut. Happy birthday @melodious32
