【《#野草不盡》香港電影節閉幕禮全院滿座 】
香港電影節（英國）閉幕電影《野草不盡》放映圓滿結束。閉幕放映於倫敦知名獨立影院 Genesis Cinema 舉行，全院500多個座位滿座。除了移英港人觀眾，也有不少本地電影、政社界人士出席。有觀眾來自倫敦以外城市，遠道而至觀看電影和參與映後談，實屬難得。
《野草不盡》追蹤移英港人的心路歷程，反思他們在身分和社會角色上的掙扎。有場景逗人發笑，也有令人屏息靜氣、思考恐懼何處的時刻。有觀眾私訊分享，在大銀幕上看見自身的影子，以及一直無以名狀的複雜情緒，感謝電影帶給他們反思自身的時刻。

The Grass is Greener on the Other Side was screened at the Closing Gala of HKFF UK at @genesiscinema –one of the biggest cinema theaters in London. Audiences from across the UK filled the theater’s 500+ seats, of which are Hongkongers as well as locals from different academic and professional backgrounds.
Some audiences expressed that the film captured delicate emotions with which they resonated. Seeing their own experiences presented on a silver screen, they felt fortunate that the screening offered them a space to reflect upon their new lives in the UK.
We are grateful that HKFF UK chose @grassdoc.hk as their closing film. If you attended the screening, we would love to hear back from you. We hope to continue documenting stories of the Hong Kong diaspora and stories of Hongkongers in turbulent times.

//《野草不盡》英文片名是The Grass is Greener on the Other Side，意思是對面的草更為青綠，跟1985年羅卓瑤大學畢業作《外國的月亮圓些》(They Say the Moon Is Fuller Here) 恰巧地有所呼應。外國的月亮為何看起來更圓? 或來自制度的開放、對個體自由的尊重，這些優點從《外國的月亮圓些》到《野草不盡》仍然共通，反映的是東方社會在這些年間所前進的局限。甚至當年的香港人只是旁觀同情著中國同胞內心的磨難，當下卻身處那掙扎的漩渦中。

黃靖凝的《野草不盡》則顯然要走新的路向，大中華只是舊時代的包袱，取而代之是2019後那強烈的香港人身份認同，單是例行公事的行政表格，已會引起情緒的反彈。黃靖凝跟羅卓瑤於此同樣捕捉到相反的面向，到了外地，所過的生活及面臨的挑戰仍在，引起選擇是否正確的懷疑。所謂 greener on the other side，如my little airport 《你叫我幫你譯一首德國歌詞》所形容，其實是一種矛盾的心理: 身在外就想著家鄉，身在家鄉卻想著出走。當中不是二元的誰對誰錯判斷，而是流動的、紊亂的、有待時間驗證的。《野草不盡》準確地呈現了這置身其中，任何個體皆因著種種原因無法梳理及清晰表達的情狀。//

The Grass is Greener on the Other Side will be screened on March 31st at all 7 cities participating in HKFF events, including London, Bristol, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
Director Crystal Wong will attend the post-screening Q&A session in person at Genesis Cinema in London, hosted by King's College London film scholar Dr. Victor Fan. All other screenings will feature a pre-recorded Q&A.

《野草不盡》很榮幸被選為第二屆香港電影節（英國）閉幕電影，今年3月於英國多個城市參展。導演將親赴英國，出席倫敦場次的放映和映後談。
香港電影節（英國）為第二屆，希望讓世界看見香港電影，促進港人群體與英國本地公民的文化交流。《野草不盡》追蹤離散到英國的港人，探討身分認同和社會角色之間的掙扎。
此為《野》首次接觸離散港人群體，意義重大，我們期待與觀眾的交流。

The Grass is Greener on the Other Side has been selected as the closing film for the 2nd Hong Kong Film Festival UK, and will be screened across all 7 cities that are participating in the festival.
HKFF UK aims to bring Hong Kong to the global audience through cinema, and foster meaningful exchanges between new Hong Kong migrants and locals.

故事大綱：
一群自命流落異地的港人，在英國尋找各自的命途。
本片追蹤兩個於後運動時期離開的港人，在遷移過程中面對的焦慮和掙扎。一個年輕爸爸，為了剛誕下的寶寶而追逐新身分，自身卻困在故土，與上一代華人移民展開身分思辯。一個少年告別摯友，背負著倖存者的罪疚，過上安逸而不自在的生活。
