Hope to see some folks in Knightdale on Saturday when Bluegrass Time takes the stage at 5:00. It is going to be a great afternoon of bluegrass and BBQ with the powerful singing Shannon Baker and sometime soon and The Burnette Sisters. On Sunday I’ll be out with the mighty Luke Shamblin as one of his Cool Hands at Raleigh’s Artsplosure. We play at high noon on the main stage (I think). Come on out for some bluegrass this weekend!

Our senior statesman cat Walker just passed. He was 18. Had a great run right up through yesterday. Kandis held him the last two hours as he passed. We made a lot of memories with him and he’s been a constant about the whole time we’ve been in Four Oaks. I know I’m gonna miss him bad. He definitely had personality and at one time he was 21 pounds. Long and tall. A great cat.
The sunshine standoff between the two ranking house cats, Walker (orange and white, 18 years old) and Watson (black and white, 11 years old) turns out no one stayed in the sun spot.
