At the end of the story, the main character becomes obsessed with the book and can't let it go, afraid someone might steal it. He becomes like Gollum and his precious ring, so the that kind of chaos was where the design was aimed

Story excerpt:

Project recap:
An old project that I'll resurface: "El Libro de Arena" (The Sand Book) by Jorge L. Borges, designed by me for my final project at university. The story is about infinity, impermanence, and obsession. It's a story about a special book, which pages are infinite and ever-changing, and its characters and words are unkown. The challenge was to portray that in an actual physical book.

This spread was done using tracing paper, a material used a lot in this whole editorial project as it brings out the sensorial aspect of a book, and in this particular book, it helps portray never ending pages.

The cover was done by printing on two tracing papers and a 250gr paper, so it would create a feeling of depth and layers, while maintaining enough rigidity for a cover
