We are very happy to share with you our upcoming release from @camilopaez8
This EP approaches rhythm as architecture and structure as a living system. Through calculated metric shifts, layered patterns, and subtle transformations, each track evolves internally while maintaining a precise and coherent logic. Rather than breaking form for the sake of disruption, the work explores how rhythmic structures can expand, mutate, and recalibrate themselves over time.
Across the EP, sound design, dynamics, and spatial movement function as structural elements, shaping a continuous sense of motion where variation becomes the central force. The result is a controlled yet exploratory framework where technique, tension, and transformation converge.

Granular Spectrum
Letardo is not rested: it is restraint.
A state where energy accumulates until it deforms the body that holds it.
Stillness becomes pressure; silence, potential noise.
Improvised at the moment, Lethargy is a raw record of the instant before the explosion.
It seeks neither perfection nor structure, but the purity of impulse.
Each sound is born of urgency, of the desire to release a force that has remained dormant for too long.
Here, depth is not calm, but abyss.
The sound space feels dense, charged, as if each frequency were emerging from the depths of a matter trying to awaken.
The rhythms emerge irregularly, almost organically, like spasms of a consciousness that refuses to die.
Lethargy is the threshold between paralysis and euphoria:
a tension that breathes, distorts, contracts, and finally releases.
The process is spontaneous, intuitive—a direct transcription of the present, without mediation or filters.
It is the interval between decay and rebirth.
A suspended state where the body remains alive, but consciousness has sunk into its own abyss.
Nothing moves on the surface; yet beneath the flesh, the noise persists.
The pulse beats like a residual memory, an echo of what was once human.
Here, stillness is not rest, but a form of prolonged agony: a dream with no escape, a vigil without awakening.
“I seek disorientation” Pre order on Bandcamp
In a world where clarity has become the norm, here we propose the opposite: a journey into disorientation as a form of revelation. Music rises like a resonant mass, heavy and intangible, a living organism that deforms and expands in unexpected directions. Each frequency is an underground echo whispering what cannot be seen, each layer an acoustic shadow revealing a hidden space.
“I seek disorientation”; here, disorientation is not confusion, but a radical experience of openness. It is about losing oneself in the harmonic abyss, surrendering to the frequency fog that envelops and transforms, inhabiting the tension of a dense silence where the real and the imagined merge.
The sounds act as invisible structures, erecting architectures that cannot be touched but can be felt in the body. Density is not weight, but a field of energy; darkness is not absence, but a state of transition. Each track is a fragment of the same universe: sacred noise that orders itself in its own chaos, sonic vortexes that draw us into uncharted territories, cryptic waves that communicate beyond language.
This is not about finding certainties, but dismantling them. An exercise in musical entropy that invites us to let go of orientation, to let sound distort perception, and to enter a state where everything familiar dissolves.
The search is not for direction, but for depth.
The goal is not to arrive, but to get lost.

Our first release is now available
A passage towards dissolution and rebirth. “Ab Khet”, DRKDCTN’s new EP, represents a transition point, a state of mutation where sound becomes a force that molds and destroys, stripping matter of its original form to give it a new existence. Inspired by transformation through chaos and regeneration from the shadow, this work stands as a manifesto of evolution through sonic impact, exploring the boundaries between aggression, density and total immersion on the dance floor.
It is a construction that defies stability, a balance between the relentless and the hypnotic. Tribal and mechanical rhythms, harsh and distorted synths, dense textures like eroded layers of time intertwine in a soundscape where time fragments and space contracts. The percussions are imposing, with sharp, dry beats that resonate like echoes of a ritualistic machinery in constant motion, while deep, crushing basses form the core of the journey, generating an unwavering tension that propels the body into an inevitable trance.

RELEASE DAY!
With ILLUD TEMPUS, Shakti presents a work that transcends the limits of the merely musical to enter a territory where sound becomes a vehicle for spiritual transformation. The title of the EP refers to a concept coming from mythical thought: the “illud tempus” or “that time” - the original, sacred and foundational time where the archetypes that structure reality took place. Unlike linear time, this is a cyclical, eternal space where everything can begin again.
From the first bars, the EP unfolds as a sonic rite that invokes invisible forces. Shakti builds dense and intentionally charged landscapes, using percussions that seem to come from a remote past, layers of organic textures, enveloping drones and rhythmic patterns that, more than marking a tempo, induce altered states of perception. Each track functions as a threshold, a passage to the occult, to that liminal space where the human dissolves and only vibration remains.
The structure of the EP suggests an initiatory journey: a controlled descent into the depths of the psyche and the body, where the sensory is intensified and the sounds act as codes that unlock archaic memories. In this process, the listener not only listens, but is pierced, drawn into an expanded present where ordinary time is suspended.
Shakti’s sonic approach here lies somewhere between experimental techno, ambient ritual and contemporary ceremonial music. There is a constant tension between the organic and the electronic, the primitive and the futuristic, the earthly and the cosmic. This duality nourishes the EP’s narrative and enhances its evocative capacity.
ILLUD TEMPUS is a call to introspection, to reconnect with the essential, with what is hidden under the layers of everyday noise. It is a work that does not seek to entertain, but to awaken. A sound map of the sacred, an alchemy of frequencies designed to open internal portals.
With this work, Shakti consolidates an artistic identity deeply connected to the ritual and the transcendent, reaffirming her place within a scene that seeks to go beyond the dance floor and explore the transformative possibilities of sound.
This sampler designed by me is an experimental sound design tool that combines granular synthesis, convolution reverb, ring modulation, pitch shifting and a touch of additive synthesis, all in an intuitive and flexible interface.
Granular synthesis allows any audio sample to be broken down into micro-grains to be rearranged, stretched or textured in real time, creating immersive soundscapes or chaotic rhythmic structures.
Convolution introduces customizable impulse responses that transform any loaded sound into a new spatial or spectral dimension, ideal for alien atmospheres.
Ring modulation offers metallic textures and inharmonic overtones, perfect for creating aggressive timbres or industrial drones.
Pitch shifting allows you to alter pitch in creative ways, both with tonal precision and radical deconstruction of the source material.
Finally, the additive synthesis engine adds harmonic and non-harmonic partials to sculpt bright, resonant or completely dissonant tones that you can mix with your samples.
For now, it will only be available with the download of “Körnig Environment” through Granular Spectrum’s bandcamp.

Then it will be available for free download through Gumroad.
“ILLUD TEMPUS, Shakti’s new EP, immerses you in a sonic journey that defies time. Inspired by the concept of “that time”, a primordial state where the divine and the human intertwine in infinite cycles, this work transcends the musical and becomes an exercise of altered perception.
