We can’t believe we’re writing this again. Yesterday we lost Capa, just four weeks after his brother Ozzy passed away.
Capa was Ozzy’s younger half-brother and they spent the last twelve and a half years together. They were always by each other’s side, lounging in the garden, cuddling on the couch, never far apart.
Ozzy was born a month before Capa in the summer of 2013. When we went to get a cat, there were about eight kittens there, and Ozzy and Capa were sitting together. Ozzy was the last of his litter, and Capa was the smallest of his, but he had the most gusto of all of them. We instantly took a shine to him, but we couldn’t split them up, so we took them both home.
They had a wonderful life together, the kings of our back lane. All the neighbours knew them well. Capa was the shyer one of the two, but he was never far from Ozzy who always looked after his younger brother.
Capa wasn’t the same after Ozzy passed. He’d lost his brother and best friend, and it showed. After having a lovely Christmas, his health deteriorated quickly over the last few days.
We will never forget you, Capa Woo. You were a ray of sunshine in our lives, and with your brother Ozzy you were the perfect duo. Sleep tight and snuggle up with your big brother 💔

Ozzy was so well known around Kirklee. Along with his brother Capa and his friend Peter, the gang guarded their home turf with gusto.
Ozzy was a very adventurous boy and over the years gave us more than a few scares, going missing on several occasions. He was locked in building sites, fell two stories off a roof landing him in hospital and also was stuck up a tree for two days in the Botanics. A massive rescue ensued with some very high ladders and a big crowd cheering when he was retrieved.
Although he was often caught up in shenanigans, he was also the most loving and gentle boy, taking care of his little brother Capa and us for the last 12 years.
The last few days have been so difficult and we didn’t expect to lose him so soon. We’ll always remember his wispy question mark tail held so high and proud, his humongous soft paws and his little snores.
We’ll never forget you Ozzy, sleep tight little bear, we love you so much 💔
