Well apparently it isn’t everlasting. Sorry, Winnie. But as Angus puts it, “You can’t have living without dying.” and thus, you wouldn’t be able to truly appreciate things if they hadn’t an end.
Thank you @erineclemons and @ucomusicaltheatre for a wonderful show to go out on. It’s been fun, UCO! Time for the next chapter of my own story book.
Here’s to 2 years with my best friend and future wife. Almost half of our time together has been long distance, and I’m so ready for her to finally come home this summer. After all, I can’t propose until you come back, silly.
I love you so much!
Got to meet my favorite comedian of all time tonight! Even got my mom, my old man, and Dan to tag along. Thanks for an incredible show, Goofrey!
(Check him out on YouTube! @ GeoffreyAsmus)
I feel on top of the world to be in this production. Come see me as ANGUS TUCK in Tuck Everlasting at the historic Mitchell Hall Theater!

Join me for my fourth annual departure at the Oklahoma Railway Museum this holiday season. Ticket Link is in Bio. DM me before purchasing tickets to confirm which nights I’m on and which train cars I perform in!
Having been an Okie all my life, I was thrilled but NERVOUS to be cast in what I’d heard was Texas’ version of “Oklahoma!”. We Oklahoman’s take so much pride in our own musical and are very particular in how it should be portrayed, so who was I to come in from a different state and tell an unabashedly West Texas story? Transparently, I’d only stepped foot in Texas a hand full of times.
So- Smiling wide but shaking in my boots- I would walk into my first day of rehearsal with a bag full of imposter syndrome. One that would be melted away by my fellow cast members faster than I even thought possible.
I feel like I say this with a lot of projects, but I really do mean it when I say things like: “This is the most amazing, beautiful group of humans I’ve ever met.” And boy, does that apply here. What an incredible, accepting, and encouraging group of people. From all over the nation, this cast and crew came together to tell an important story that some had never heard before and some had been familiar with since childhood. Contrary to my initial belief, it isn’t a musical about the state of Texas. It’s about its people, addressing its rich and complex history head on, and how important not being stuck in our ways can be. It’s a beautiful show and I’m so thankful to have been apart of it with you fantastic artists.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented directors, actors, and musicians I know- My peers! UCO Senior directs were a blast. I got to portray Jervis (Daddy Long Legs), Marvin (Falsettos), and Daddy Cane (Bright Star) all within mere hours of each other.
I’d like to thank all of my student directors (tagged at the bottom of each title card) for casting me in their final project at UCO, Elizabeth Dragoo for giving her students the opportunity, and Tony Lopez for her stunning photos!
This summer, I’ll be stepping into the boots of Calvin Armstrong in TEXAS OUTDOOR MUSICAL. This year marks the 59th season of this historic performance staged at the heart of Palo Duro Canyon. It will run June 6 through August 9 on every day of the week save Monday!
I don’t take it lightly that I get to tell stories for a living—and this one is big, bold, and blazin’ with heart. I’ve been told there will be many a firework, plenty of horses, and an aggressive amount of sunscreen.
P. S.
Don’t you worry. I’ll always be an Okie at heart. But if you happen to be in the great state of Texas this summer, come on out and celebrate our friends to the south with me! Tickets in Bio.
