To borrow the lyrics from John Wilbur Chapman in 1910:
Jesus! what a Friend for sinners!
Jesus! Lover of my soul;
friends may fail me, foes assail me;
He, my Saviour, makes me whole.
Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Hallelujah! what a Friend!
Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end.
I’m *trying* to read the story of Elda, the recipient of River’s kidney. It’s truly incredible what the Lord has done. Amber’s new book “The Girl on the Bathroom Floor” is heart stopping at times. ❤️
Hi! I’ve been quiet on here. Honestly, it’s been nice, but I’m ready to get back to work. Over this past year I’ve been writing a new book and it’s finally ready! I hope ya’ll can watch this video to the end, and I hope ya’ll can help me spread the word, but at the same time I want to be careful “promoting” something because I don’t want this book to point to me at all (that’s a balance I need to learn). I really just want to point to Christ, making much of Him, which in turn will highlight any poisons that cloud our view of Him. The book covers 11 poisons that did that for me. So…here we go! “Poison in the Well”…coming Sept 8th and available for preorder now!
I understand that for many this will be the most ridiculous post you see today. Hear me out. From my early days of my music, March 17th was a good night to gig. Please forgive me for leading so many astray and betraying a fellow brother in Christ. I’m sorry. I was very wrong about St. Patty’s Day. Thank the Lord for Patrick and the work of Christ through him in Ireland and beyond!
Anyone else a hypocrite like me? Tim Keller used to talk about the idea of hypocrite Christians (none of us aren’t) like this. It’s true. Fear of man, hatred, jealousy, pride, hypocrisy…fill in the blank…all of it shrinks to the degree that we see our sin as damning and Jesus’ work at the cross as our only hope.
