EPIC DAY ON THE WALLS YESTERDAY YALLLLLL 🤩 We are getting SO close to being up to the tops of our door and window forms, which is a real milestone moment where-in we begin figuring out how to set our bond beam on top of the walls AND THEN begin prep for putting the freaking roof on this thing!!!!! 💪 We cannot thank everyone enough for showing up in such force and solidarity to help us finish the walls with a bang!!!! ✨ MUCH love to each and every one of you who's come out over the past year, we are just a few weeks away from actually being DONE with the walls!!!! So mind blowing 🤯 we couldn't have done all this without the help of our incredible community showing up time and time again 🙏❤️ PS we're taking tmrw off to rest a bit and focus on wheel window frame #2 and will resume wed/fri/sun open workshops thru April into May til we're done !! Howdeee Grandma Gang!!! 🤗 It's a glorious spring bustling out here on the artist residency build this spring already 🤩🌱💪 it's been an absolute treat having such a lovely stream of friends coming through to help us chip away at our goal of finishing the Hyper-Adobe walls this spring WAHOOOO!!! Such progress!!! We got our beautiful wagon wheel window all installed and set into the walls, and starting to round the corner on only 10 layers of bag remaining to finish the walls by our completion goal of May 7th! Very very exciting 🥰🌈🙌 We are continuing our schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays moving forward into March, so if anyone feels like coming out to volunteer with us, we will be doing Hyper-Adobe workshops (open to the public - DM to RSVP) every week until the walls are done this Spring!! We will be posting an info-graphic flier shortly with all the calendar dates, but feel free to DM if you can make any of those days OR if you have other days you're interested in coming out, we can definitely setup work-party days for folks with particular scheduling needs. Howdee Grandmatopia Gang!! 🤩✨ The weather is absolutely gorgeous out here in Dragoon this week..and as a result we've been firing things up on the artist residency build 🤩 adding some rough-in window forms, a new wagon wheel window 🛞 and several new wall sections!! ✨ 🦆 It's all feeling very exciting!! ✨ As such we're gonna be doing a few work parties this week, as well as ramping up to a regular schedule of open workshop days to anyone interested in helping out on the community build and learning the hyper-adobe construction process! 🤗 Please DM if interested in coming out to the land and getting your hands dirty with us for any of the follow dates : Wednesday - March 4th Sunday - March 8th Tuesday - March 10th Wednesday - March 11th Sunday - March 15th Excited to see y'all's beautiful faces out here any time it all lines up!!! Greetings Grandmatopia Gang!!! WOWWW what an absolutely incredible journey it's been the past few weeks of workshops 🤯🥰⚒️💪 We built the walls up all the way to course #12 !!!!! Almost HALF WAY up our total bag layers 😍 ALSO we installed our first rough-in window opening + our main water intake lines + a bunch of cleats into the bags to eventually anchor our bathroom walls and kitchen countertops 🥳🌈🎉✨ I want to give a MASSIVE thank you to all the incredible friends, old and new, who volunteered to show up and make ALL this progress happen 😭❤️ it's such an honor to host each and every one of you fantastic humans... you are the reason this is happening!!!
