Its Divorce Day! Twenty five years ago I married this fella in New York City Library, it was one of the best days of my life. I had been mad about P.A. since we briefly dated when I was 19 and he was 23 and then we ‘accidentally’ met up again in our early thirties. It was a whirlwind and we had planned to elope but so many friends and family decided to tag along that it became a proper full-on wedding. I wore a beautiful silk dress from Donna Karen Collection, I hadn’t seen it in advance but my sister Ciara had ‘borrowed’ it for me. Eileen Sheilds made my shoes, they arrived a day after the wedding. No panic, she replaced them with something equally if not more gorgeous for the day. I ran through The East Village in the rain with the ’YIPPIE’ wedding cake just hours before the wedding while my four black cashmere clad bridesmaids had their hair done. I then became ‘wicked stepmother’ to both of P.A.’s children, and it was the closest I ever came to being a mum, something I will always be grateful for. Being even a small part of their upbringing has meant more to me than I can say. They have grown into such wonderful young adults, and I truly hope we will always remain close. P.A. and I shared ten truly wonderful years together, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The following five years were more difficult, as recession, debt, and life’s pressures gradually took their toll on our relationship. We separated ten years ago, and today we officially closed that chapter. I can honestly say I have no regrets. I was married to one of the kindest, most genuine, and decent people I’ve ever known, not to mention handsome, talented and hard working. I would still trust him with my life, and I hope he knows I will always be there for him. Now it’s time for the next chapter in both our lives, focusing on new relationships, new memories, and new beginnings. I wish him nothing but happiness for the future, nobody deserves it more.

Meet the new guy! Sully (in the foreground) was found a few days ago straying in Chapelizod village, he had been severely neglected and has lost his left eye through untreated infection but he’s on the mend and had decided to stay in Chapelizod with this local pack! Sully is short for súil amháin (one eye) and he will have his eye op next week together with a fancy pedicure and grooming session! Thank you to all in Chapelizod who helped catch him by reporting sighting and hunting him down (especially Nicola, Mick and Sue) and to local lads Colum and Barra for coming up with such a great name for him! Sometimes it takes a village…. #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #yorkshireterrier #muttsofinstagram #dublindogs #chapelizod #dublin

Posting Daddy Dearest on International Women’s Day, he made his three daughters the curious and creative creatures they are today. Billy pictured here casually fine dining in a boiler suit and @ruadhnyc cap, dunno how Ger still puts up with him, it must be love… ❤️

So heartbreaking to say goodbye to this little man. Wax was a fearless and feisty little fella that packed so much into his last five years with me, what a little loyal buddy he was to myself and Birdie. At age 9, I offered to foster him (then Rex) until Clondalkin Animal Aid could find him his forever home. After just a few days, it was pretty obvious he was not going anywhere and a cuter little tough guy, I couldn’t have wished for. He was a nine year old terrier cross whos owner left him behind when they moved house, how many times have we heard this sad story before... But things turned around when he landed with us, even managing to squeeze in a few modelling gigs and his age was never an issue, an older dog is just as much fun and full of character as any puppy. Adopt don’t shop and remember a dog is and should be for life. Go Wax, it was such a pleasure, you were loved to bits!! #adoptadog #clondalkinanimalaid #terrier #adogisforlife #muttsofinstagram #dublindogs

Last day of @bordbiabloom tomorrow and hard to believe it’s already been five years since winning SuperGarden myself and making it to Bloom with my show garden. I was awarded a Silver Gilt medal at Bloom 2019 for my very first ever garden design, such a proud moment, it nearly killed me and it still feels a bit surreal!!! Inspired by my own mutts and a family trip to Marrakesh, my garden was called ‘The Under Dog’s Garden’ and it was designed as part of RTÉ’S Super Garden TV programme. I will be forever grateful to my heroes who helped me ‘make it happen’ 😉Could not have done it without ye!!! Thank you!!! #underdog #bloom #supergarden #theunderdogsgarden #silvergilt #medal
