Bristol…we have a Top Deck and we are using it.
Starting 1st May, we’re launching ‘Decks on the Deck’ at Grain Barge which is exactly what it sounds like: DJs, sunshine, drinks & food.
All summer we’ll be hosting some of our favourite DJs up top, kicking things off with the incredible @chiedzauk from @noodsradio .
A proper powerhouse in the Bristol scene, she brings amapiano, gqom and Afro house together with UK bass energy and diaspora sounds that make standing still basically impossible.
She’s played festivals like Shambala, El Dorado, and Love Saves the Day, and now she’s bringing that same energy to the deck.

Decks on the Deck at @grainbarge ⛵
Last Friday we headed down to the very first Decks on the Deck at the Grain Barge and it was such a lovely way to spend the evening.
Across summer, they’ll be hosting DJs up on the top deck, with drinks, sunset views and music right on the water.
We started with cocktails upstairs while the DJ played, then headed downstairs afterwards for a full feast in the main boat.
Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was great and it reminded us how underrated Grain Barge is for a summer drink in Bristol! Next event is on 22nd May, but we’d recommend for any sunshine-y evenings coming up.

About the class:
☀️ it’s a relaxed, inclusive and social evening class
☀️ I encourage everyone and anyone to come and give it a go! It’s not about creating the best piece of art, rather using drawing as a tool to switch off the mind
☀️ we invite you to do some playful drawing techniques
☀️ we will give you tips and tricks to help with your drawing techniques
☀️ there’s a break where everyone can chat and optional show their work
☀️ you are welcome to stay for a drink afterwards, either joining the pub quiz which starts on the middle deck at 8.30. Or enjoying a drink on the outside top deck
