After a violent confrontation with her obsessive partner ends in a fatal act of self-defence, a struggling painter transforms the scene of the crime into a masterpiece.
As blood and oil merge on the canvas, the trauma that should destroy her instead ignites a terrifying creative awakening.
When a powerful gallery curator recognises the work as a breakthrough, she is faced with an impossible demand: was it a singular eruption or can she summon that same truth again?
