I’ve had a lot of people ask why we haven’t played as much this year. Honestly, between injuries, personal lives of members, and having the incredible experience of getting more involved with the drag community/participating in Stacy’s Rising Star competition, we’ve been swamped. It’s been a year of personal growth and finding the confidence in myself again. I have this mean bitch in my head that tells me I’m not hot, I can’t sing, and I should give up. This year I told her to shut up and it seems to be working lmao. THAT BEING SAID, we’ve got a lot of really exciting things planned for 2026. If you need a band, give us a call and see you next year ✨

Listen, I get it. That feeling. The hopelessness. That nothing will get better. That things will never change. Looking into the void and nothing being enough. It’s been said before but I’ll say it again; that’s exactly the feeling those who are shaping the world for the worse want you to have. They want your complicity. They want your doom scroll. Again, I get it, going outside is terrifying. Sometimes I think back to who I was before COVID and wonder if all my magic is gone. That I’ve turned into this lump of awkward cells just waiting for inevitable decay. The thing is, I think a lot of people feel this way; I’m here to tell you that feeling is a lie. Your love, your art, your dissent makes history. Every day you get out of bed is a win. Every day you talk to someone new or someone you love is a win. There are so many ways to build a foundation of community. Go to a local music show where you don’t know the line up. Go to a local drag show. Play at an open mic. Go to an art show, go to the protest. Paint, write, practice. Embrace the absolute cringe of being alive, and take the messy action necessary. Some people won’t like you and that’s ok. Resist the rot anyway. I love you.
