today didn’t go as planned… at all, but the Lord is still kind, still faithful + still worthy. 🤍
Today marks 5 years of Gracefully Enhanced and I can say with my whole heart that if it had not been for Jesus, this would not be so. Every open door, every opportunity, every ounce of strength to keep going… it has all been him.
5 years ago, I said yes to God and stepped out on faith into this journey of makeup artistry. I didn’t have it all figured out, but I had a yes in my spirit + that yes has carried me through seasons I never could have imagined. This journey has been filled with some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows… moments of clarity and moments of questioning… seasons of overflow and seasons where I had to trust God with everything in me.
This business has brought me so much joy, but it has also stretched me, refined me, and drawn me closer to God in ways I didn’t expect. It’s been more than makeup but it’s been ministry, growth, obedience, and LOTS of transformation.
If I’m being honest, today was heavy. The photos don’t show it, but behind them were lots of tears. But even in the middle of that, I was reminded that his goodness is not dependent on my circumstances.
He is still present. He is still working. He is still good.
I may not be exactly where I want to be yet, but I trust that I am exactly where God needs me to be.
So today, I choose to celebrate anyway. I choose gratitude over disappointment. I choose to honor how far God has brought me instead of focusing on what’s going wrong.
Cheers to 5 years of grace, growth, and God’s faithfulness and cheers to the next 5 years. 🥺🫂🤍

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a planner girl. Over the past couple of years, I found myself pulled into the digital world, planning everything through my phone and iPad. While that’s not bad & definitely to each its own, I’m feeling called back to my roots which is sitting down with an actual planner in hand with pen to paper. There’s truly something so powerful about the act of actually writing things out and seeing the vision on paper.
As I do every year, I’m not just planning my days and goals alone but I’m planning with God. I’m inviting him into every vision, every idea + every step. I’m also holding my plans loosely enough + leaving room for the Lord to move + have his way. That’s what he desires anyway.
Not control, but surrendered hearts that are committed to trusting him fully. I can make my plans, but I trust him with the outcome & I know that his timing and purpose is always better than my own.
