@gracebaey is a Singapore-based photographer and filmmaker. A human geographer by training, she’s especially interested in issues of place, identity, and belonging. Her current work focuses on queer and gender identity in Southeast Asia.
‘(Un)bound’ is a collaborative project about the stories of trans people living in Singapore. Through portraits, journal entries and scrapbooking, the stories of Jose, Sham, Averyn and Sonia, reflect on experiences of struggle, resilience, and coping strategies amidst the challenges of gender norms in society.
