I’m back on this last day of the year to give my last virtual bouquet of flowers to two of the most influential partners in making the music video for Ghost in the House the beauty that it is!
The whole visual concept and storyline was dreamt up by
@graacebrady after I sent her one of the final mixes of the song saying “this song NEEDS a music video”. It was the most beautiful thing to entrust this concept to someone who’s creative vision and heart beats to the same drum as mine, and in this life I am SO grateful I get to exist alongside and work with a soul sister as hardworking, passionate, and fun as Grace. Thank you for putting so much love into this piece of work, I can’t wait to be old ladies looking back at our first music video and having it be this! As first time music video makers, Grace and I knew our vision would not turn out as successful unless we had help producing it…
It is very hard, especially in today’s odd world of virtual reality, to find people who align with your values for why we make art at all. Which is why having
@romanroyal24 with his
@see_through.co produce this music video was the best decision made! I knew this project was so safe in his care. Roman had this calm & wise sense that whatever came to us, was part of the process, and whatever didn’t pan out, wasn’t meant to be. He brought together the most incredible team of creatives and also acted as production designer along with
@lo_richter to actualize the most beautiful fort I’ve seen, and steered this ghost ship to the shore!
BTW I will be dropping a BTS from the shoot soon! I’ve been thinking a lot about fast consumption, and what makes art human, and honestly my entire attitude towards slowly expressing gratitude & sharing my art is an act of resistance against “convention” itself. I’ve lived in like 7 places between LA & NYC since shooting this last March, and it’s kind of nice to share art on your own terms especially when metrics mean little to me these days! Here’s to 2026, more music, more humanity, more art for the sake of beauty! And while I have you here, feel free to play Ghost in the House wherever you listen as you get ready for your New Year’s Eve endeavors!!!
