Saltwater BTS:
The Saltwater film is so close to completion now!! On this day @verena.franz and I had travelled up to Dutchie’s Beach at Nelson Bay to film floating scenes in the calm waters there. Verena’s parents were visiting from Germany, and we were hoping to include them in the film too. But once I got out in the water we could see a mother of a storm in the distance. We kept shooting as it rolled in, right up until the first sign of lightning. This still perfectly captures a moment of sheer joy I was feeling; I just love swimming in the rain. The rain hit so fast that there was hilarious chaos as we all tried to protect the gear, make it back to the car park, and ferry everything back to a little house nearby. Hot showers, tea and Tim Tams rounded out the shortest shoot day of the project. 🌊
Last year my friend Joseph drew this precious birthday gift back when Saltwater was still just a dream. I like to think of it as the alternate single image for the track. A year later Gen found this little guy at the oppy and surprised me at my bday gig, we named him Double Daddy Fimsh and his adventures deserve a post of its own one day. It’s been about two weeks of Saltwater goodness, and I’m so grateful for the support from my pals on the journey, and to all of you for coming on the ride 💛
Well it’s our celebration day and all your streams have kicked Meta into gear and we can share the track audio yeeeee. 🌊 So we’re sharing one more still from the upcoming film - best believe we have been verrry careful to not give away the most breathtaking moments til the film comes out, more on that later.
