This is probably my most vulnerable song I’ve ever made as a tribute to my cousin/twin Denise Brewer who passed away tragically while I was on tour in 2024 💔. Life for me has not been the same since. This song is also a tribute to my first best friend Derrius Drakes who passed away in 2015 . I carry them with me always 🙏🏾 This song was hard for me to share with others let alone perform it BUT here we are . Growing together.

I’ve got a wild Bushwick Bill story for you. Back when I was renting a studio downtown Houston, me and @beehoneymusica were working on the joint that’s playing in this post. Bushwick was in the next studio over doing his thing.
We’re deep in the zone when all of a sudden, Bushwick busts through the door. He’s vibing heavy to what we’re cooking up. My guy left his own session four different times just to come back and listen. The fifth time, he showed up with a verse. Straight legendary moment.
He laid the verse down—and a week later, the hard drive crashed. Smh. The lesson? Always back your sessions up. And also… I might be one of the coldest you know 😏
Anyway, back to the @trillburgers drop. That sandwich had all my favorite things—cabbage, jerk sauce, and those soft buns. The burger by itself was cool, but after a couple bites I was like, “Okay… but where’s the pepper, the allspice, the thyme?” Then I found the sauce. Put that on the burger and it changed everything. Go grab it—it’s bussin’.
