There are nights that confirm something you’ve felt deeply for a long time. Last night, Nina Kiri won the Outstanding Performance, Female On Camera award at the ACTRA Awards for her role in Out Standing. As we were finishing the film, I remember thinking: the thing that would make me happiest would be for Nina to be recognized for what she gave. Everything. Her body, her mind, her heart. Months of training. A complete immersion into the book. A rare level of commitment. This award confirms something I carry deeply as a director: creating, alongside my actors, the conditions for their greatest performances. That’s my work. That’s my joy. Congratulations, Nina.
