Gov’t Mule has announced 11 spring headlining tour dates for April. The new dates begin April 14 in Kansas City and stop in Des Moines, Charlotte, Athens, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Little Rock, and Fayetteville, among other cities. @larkinpoe will join Gov’t Mule on the road from April 14-22 and @iammaggierose will open on April 24. “Banks of The Deep End (Live)” is out now— recorded in Asheville during the debut of Dreams & Songs, a hometown night that brought together the Warren Haynes Band and a 64-piece Asheville Symphony Orchestra. With Oteil Burbridge, John Medeski, Greg Osby, Jeff Sipe, and the voices of Edwin McCain and Jasmine Muhammad, the song takes on a different approach to the Gov’t Mule original. “‘Banks of the Deep End’ is one of the songs that we probably play more than any other,” says Warren. “Although it doesn’t vary as much on a nightly basis as some of the other tunes, it somehow takes on its own personality… Playing it with a symphony emphasizes all the dramatic and dynamic changes that song presents, and it’s wonderful hearing it in that light.” Listen to the track at the link in bio.
