Call it a tasting. Call it colour theory. Call it an excuse to eat bread and butter for “research.” Scroll through the butter spectrum and tell us: Which shade are you spreading on your sourdough? 🥖 50 Shades of Butter

Providing you with some croissant ASMR to set you in a good mood! Now now, seems like some of you thought we were April fooling everyone yesterday with our croissantbouche 😌 Seems too good to be true, we agree to that! But lucky for you, it’s very real and very yum. 📆 Friday April 3rd & Saturday April 4th 🕓 8.00 am - 1.00 pm 📍 34 Six Point Road, Etobicoke, ON, M8Z 2X2 We wouldn’t sleep on that if we were you! Made to order, walk-ins only, until quantities last

A bakery owner is also known as an electrician, a plumber, bookkeeper, a delivery driver, a dishwasher, a video prop and at times even an IT specialist when caught in the right environment.

Today, we closed the doors at 3507 Bathurst for the very last time. Ten years ago, this little bakery became the beginning of everything for us. It was where sleepless nights turned into croissants at sunrise, where recipes were tested a hundred-and-one times over, where friendships were built behind and across the counter, and where so many of you became part of our story. We watched kids grow up coming in for hot chocolate after school. We celebrated birthdays, graduations, first dates, engagements, and countless everyday moments over coffee and pastries. What started as one small bakery became a second home, not just for us, but for so many people in the neighborhood. Closing this chapter hurts more than words can explain. This space carried so much life, so many memories, and so much love. Every corner of that bakery holds a piece of us. Walking out today felt unreal. To everyone who supported us over the last decade: thank you. Thank you for lining up for your croissant fix, for choosing us for your celebrations, for chatting with us every morning, for bringing your families, your friends, and your love into our space. You gave this bakery its soul. While this goodbye is heartbreaking, it’s also a reminder of how lucky we are to have built something that mattered to people. Bathurst will always be home. And while this chapter ends, Goûter is not going anywhere ❤️ You can still find us at our Eglinton location, our Six Point location in Etobicoke, and this summer at all the farmers markets and festivals. We’ll keep baking, creating, and welcoming you with the same love that started on Bathurst ten years ago. Thank you for growing with us. Thank you for every single memory. Bathurst, we love you and we’ll miss you more than you know.

Things don’t always go as planned 🙄 Sometimes a dough doesn’t quite come out as we’d hope, for one of three gazillion reasons. When we are lucky (like in this case) the dough can still be reused as pre-fermented dough on a new batch, cutting our losses on ingredients. Where it’s impossible to recuperate losses is on time (you not getting that back) and on missing product (you gotta get those croissants done by end of day either way). Ultimately, it is what it is and we’re blessed we’ve learnt how to pivot when things go their own unpredictable way 🙏 You 𝗅̶𝗂̶𝗏̶𝖾̶ bake and you learn!

No chefs were armed in the making of this video. In fact, chef @rodneyalleguede was delighted with the idea of dancing and he’ll be glad to perform further should this reel hit 250 likes. Just don’t reach out to him directly to ask for his opinion on the matter

But if this video gets 200 likes Chef @rodneyalleguede will be more than delighted to dance La Macarena for y’all. He just doesn’t know it yet.
