Deadline Extension!!! The application period for farmers and timber owners to apply for the $221 million USDA block grant for certain Hurricane Helene ag and timber losses will be extended to June 12 for all four loss categories.

ICYMI: Farmers, stakeholders and advocates for North Carolina farm and forest land showed up in Raleigh for Farmland Preservation Advocacy Day yesterday!
North Carolina has over 8 million acres of working farmland and forests, but residential and commercial development is consuming these lands at alarming rates. This group asked lawmakers to invest in farmland preservation to keep these lands productive for future generations.
