I spent almost 300€ on ONE jeans prototype.
200€ for the prototype.
+120€ for professional fit adjustments.
Sounds expensive? There’s more to it.
This prototype was finished together with an experienced seamstress and is now ready to be tested on different body types and sizes. At this stage, precision matters more than speed because the final fit defines everything that comes next.
Quick reminder:
Whenever people say fashion should be cheap or fast fashion prices are normal this is what skilled labor actually costs.
If a 5€ shirt exists, someone in the supply chain is being underpaid.
And just to clarify:
The final jeans will not cost 200€ per piece in production.
This is prototype work which is slow, intentional, and necessary, so the final product can be made responsibly and fit real bodies.
