i wrote got rick because i needed to make sense of a relationship i once accepted as normal.
it’s about an aspiring actress (me ha) and her manager who claims he can make her career as long as she trusts him and does everything he says. it’s funny on the surface but got rick is also about power, manipulation, blurred boundaries, and how easy it is to confuse control with guidance when you’re ambitious. there’s a particular relief in turning a chapter of your life into some sort of art
