The first edition of Gothla Brazil took place in 2012, in Rio de Janeiro. This edition featured both Brazilian and internationally renowned artists from the Tribal and Dark Fusion dance scene, including dancers from the United States and Europe.
The Brazilian edition of Gothla became an important milestone for the national dance community, as it connected local dancers to global trends in alternative and fusion dance, offering access to international instructors, aesthetics, and methodologies previously less accessible in Brazil.
Through her leadership in Gothla Brazil, Jhade Sharif helped establish Brazil as an active participant in the international Tribal and Fusion dance circuit, fostering artistic exchange and professional growth within the Brazilian dance community.

O curso é uma iniciativa que tem por objetivo a formação teórico-prática em Dark Fusion Dance, destinada a 50 pessoas participantes. A proposta vai além da expressão artística da dança, adentra nos fundamentos teóricos, pesquisas, diversas metodologias e distintas abordagens. Com foco na imersão na cultura Dark Arts, busca desmistificar e valorizar esse estilo muitas vezes marginalizado e mal compreendido, promovendo uma experiência enriquecedora e inclusiva.
O projeto é contemplado pelo edital Pró-Carioca, programa de fomento à cultura carioca, da Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, através da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura.

We have an exciting update regarding the Gothla Worldwide event! Due to the incredible enthusiasm and participation from Gothla organizations and dancers around the world, we have decided to move the event to February 2026 to ensure we can make it bigger and better than ever!
This change also aligns with a very special occasion—the 20th anniversary of Gothla United Kingdom @gothlauk , the birthplace of our movement. To honor this milestone, Gothla UK will officially host the event, and we will work together to create an unforgettable celebration of our shared history and future.
What does this mean for you?

✅ Gothla UK will lead the workshops, showcases And @gothlave Will co - host the online event to support the movement and put all Gothla's together 💜

We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration between Gothla festivals around the world! From the UK to Australia, Brazil, the USA, and now Venezuela, we are uniting to celebrate and elevate the art of dark fusion dance. 🖤💃
Our mission is clear: to create a safe and supportive platform for alternative performers, to push the boundaries of dark fusion, and to connect with communities worldwide. This global network of festivals offers a rich tapestry of workshops, performances, and events featuring the best in belly dance, burlesque, and beyond.
✨GothlaUk (United Kingdom): A community that provides a safe and supportive platform for alternative performers to create and showcase, whilst raising the standard of dark fusion.For 3 years, they hosted the gothic trio Ariellah, Sashi and Tempest; we then added local talent to our instructors.
✨GothlaAu (Australia): Australia's first and only multi-day festival dedicated to the dark side of dance. Offering workshops from some of the best belly and burlesque dancers across Australia and internationally.
✨Gothla Brasil (Brazil): Gothla Brasil is the first international ethnic and contemporary dance festival with expressionist and theatrical characteristics of the alternative dance scene Dark Arts: Dark Fusion and Rock Fusion. Since 2012.
✨Gothlafl (United States): Gothla Fl is a virtual Dark and Metal Fusion dance Festival. the festival happens in mid October as a tribute to Halloween.
✨Gothlave (Venezuela): A community dedicated to promoting the alternative dance scene in Venezuela. Inspired by the international Gothla festivals, it provides a platform for performers to create, collaborate, and showcase their talents in dark fusion and other alternative dance styles.
