I’m thrilled to share my first solo release with you. What started in 2023 found its form and is manifest. I want to thank to all my dear friends, loved ones and collaborators who supported me and keep supporting me and worked with me up until this moment. My gratitude is eternal. xx “When listening to „Dawn of the Days“, there is a certain foreshadowing of physicality that forms in the sounds Gotgha produces. You can almost feel the bow gnashing over the strings of the zither or the noise walls that rush through, accelerating to the max of overwhelm. This is what pulls you in. The immersion on „Dawn of the Days“ is not an inviting one; it is snatching you, dragging you in to intrude. And suddenly you sit there, hearing all around you this blasting assemblage of orchestrated sounds unfolding into images that are being sharpened and formed while you’re tumbling through. These sounds evolve as an extension of Gotgha’s body and mind; they manage to include the listener as an extension of these audial structures. You wander in them, start to relate, and feel the temperatures, the sentiments, and the surfaces. Inside, approaching sounds try to detach from structures—twisting and squirming, struggling, held in invisible restraints. At some points on the EP, bells emerge as ominous signals, growing heavier, more threatening. At other points, beneath it all, under and inside the noise, there’s a suppressed cry that tries to surface but is held back. These tensions become internalized, manifesting as trembling, resistance, and refusal. It all feels deceptive, unstable, but still precise and controlled. You can feel the reins being pulled; the full power is being held back and pushed into a frame for audial translation.“ Releases April 24th 2026 on @kashev_tapes All songs written, produced, and performed by Gotgha. The voice in “Dark Forest“ is from margaretha jüngling @mar_________jue__ Album art by Tim Häsler @tiohae Mastered by Gaspard Emma Hers @dj_wurm Photography by Marc Jauss @marc_jauss Press Text by Elia Brülhart @opernbauer

One week until premiere! ALL RISE cross-examines the dramaturgical genealogies between the legal system and the theatre, both technologies whose insistence on intelligibility and narrative coherence renders conflict visible, narratable, and ultimately containable without imparting real ethical responsibility. Working with the vector of the trial, a ritual in the legal system whose aim for “justice” warrants its own violences, the work interrogates modalities of sovereignty under law. Juridical demand for legibility and coherence—on performing plausibility in order to be attributed humanity—undercuts the fact that trauma is often incoherent. Deploying the mise-en-scene of the courtroom in relation to that of theatre, ALL RISE performs the trial as a space of waiting in which conviction, coherence, and meaning-making are perpetually delayed. The trial becomes a no-show; the roles of witness, judge, and advocate shared amongst both audience and performers. We will be raising funds to support mutual aid in Lebanon and Palestine, bring cash. 📅 29 + 30 April, May 2 📍 Tanzhaus Zürich Concept, direction: Joseph Baan

Listening event for upcoming releases 🏍️ bela - Korean Love Sonnets Gotgha - Dawn of Days Releasing 24.04.2026 Lids of Closed Eyes: A special listening night is here. The performers of ALL RISE, premiering at Tanzhaus on the 29th of April, musicians bela and Gotgha bring a 2-hour listening session of feedback, guttural voice, and noise compositions. Accompanying a short live noise performance from bela and Gotgha, the event continues to celebrate the release of Korean Love Sonnets (2026, Subtext Recordings) and Dawn of Days (2026, Kashev Tapes). The duality of noise is in question – how does loud noise both challenge and comfort at the same time? A dark space is provided. Under the presence of harsh rattles and resonances, different sensory impressions enter in place of the visual. Tanzhaus Zürich, Bühne 1 24.04.2026 Friday 19:00 Pay as much as you want First-come first-serve entrance Gotgha’s EP Dawn of Days will be available in cassette tape format. All sales go to people in Lebanon and Palestine.

In just over a month we are premiering our new piece, ALL RISE, at Tanzhaus Zürich. It’s been a while in the making & I couldn’t be more grateful for this brilliant team of people 🖤 y’all make magic happen. Tomorrow we’ll have a process sharing at 6pm, but more than anything plz join us between April 29th - May 2nd for the work’s final form ⏳⚖️📃 ALL RISE asks: “How to untell a story that cannot be told but must be told.” Working with the vector of the trial, a ritual in the legal system whose aim for “justice” warrants its own violences, the work interrogates modalities of sovereignty under law. Juridical insistence on legibility and coherence—on performing plausibility to be attributed humanity—undercuts the fact that trauma is often incoherent. Deploying the mise-en-scene of the courtroom in relation to that of theatre, ALL RISE performs the trial as a space of waiting in which conviction, coherence, and sense-making are perpetually delayed. The trial becomes a no-show; the roles of witness, judge, and advocate shared amongst both audience and performers. Concept, direction: Joseph Baan

VERSA/FACE fromheretillnow presents Versa/Face, marking the renewed collaboration between Zurich-based musicians Luc Häfliger (Gotgha) and Piero Mirio Scherer. Their creative exchange first took shape during several intense years in Zurich’s underground scene. After a period of individual work, the two artists reunite with a release that brings their musical dialogue back into focus, alongside the concert format Doxa Shroti. The foundation of this project was set on a tour in Indonesia and Taiwan. A journey during which a fusion of perspectives emerged, where practices, actions, and everyday decisions met, and where, for brief moments, their minds melted together. Some of that remains. Afterwards, the artists drifted apart for a bit, still close, yet working on their own sounds. However, these thoughts and moments stuck and shaped this release. In this way, the individual tracks find each other and merge the project into a single whole. Versa/Face, ultimately, is a collaborative release of exploration, aleatorically steered intuition, and perception. Getting pulled along by their sounds, Mirio and Gotgha are digging forward, working their way ahead, trying things, taking risks, thinking, pondering, feeling their way forward. Music: Gotgha / Piero Mirio Scherer @gotgha_geist / @losdelrodos Graphic Design: Marc Jauss @marc_jauss Artwork (Inlay): Tristan Amor Rabit @tarabit_ Mastering: Gaspard Emma Hers @dj_wurm Text contributions: Tim Häsler @tiohae Elia Brülhart @opernbauer Vocals in Miasma: Gabrielle Amidala @gabrielle_internalobject Reconsiliation: Manolo Müller @mmmanolete The album release will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 7:30 pm at bbar, Uetlibergstrasse 65, 8045 Zürich, Entrance A, 2nd floor. The event will feature an album listening session accompanied by a live concert by Chia-Chun Xu. @xu_jared Order: 🔗 in bio Read: fromheretillnow.com #versaface #fromheretillnow #
