‘The Rain’ - I’ve always found it hard to capture this feeling in words but this song speaks to the tension of wanting someone in your life whilst realising that you no longer need them as you once did. Lying awake at night with them on your mind, knowing that you might not get to live with them but scared to take another step without them.
We give people the power to make or break our lives, we pour everything into a relationship and one day when it ends it can feel like what’s left behind is inseparable from who we are - just like getting caught in the rain.
