Here’s team rider @tomflower_ captured by @muirman on his G&S Red Fin, taking a true classic into the current era and putting it to work in a tight pocket.
Originally designed by Mike Hynson for G&S in 1965, the Red Fin became one of the defining boards of the signature model era, ridden by legends like Skip Frye, Billy Hamilton, Barry Kanaiaupuni, and Butch Van Artsdalen.
This version, shaped by Chris Darby, stays true to the original DNA: refined edge control, powerful bottom turns, and effortless speed from small surf to overhead waves. Medium narrow outline, subtle hip, flat to vee bottom, and a clean fast tail built for projection and flow.
A timeless design that still holds its own today.
