The Making Of🔥
We only had a 20 second window to establish all four characters in animation; 5 seconds for each sequence. Moreover, this project was hanging on an ambitious timeline of only two weeks when we decided to hop aboard.
We immediately got to the drawing board and designed sequences that were gritty and maintained continuity with the live action narrative of the film. The animated sequences of every icon gave us a peek into their head space.
Sticking to the brand color Red, we explored various scenarios to showcase what goes on inside the minds of Icons @marykomofficial@jaspritb1@arrahman and @iamsrk . From designing the characters, crafting styleframes, to boarding multiple drafts of their individual sequences, we slid through perfectly thanks to the Ace team who absolutely smashed it on the project.

@goppoanimation was officially founded in 2022, with an urge to tell compelling homegrown stories in animation.

The Process✨

Early this year, @goppoanimation directed an AMV for @vivianakadivine and @karanaujla 's Banger, Hisaab.
When we received the sample, we began to explore the depths of what the song had to offer. We wanted to focus on how oftentimes, we end up becoming a prisoner of our own thoughts, which takes a toll on our mental health in various forms. The internal conflicts one has with themselves and how in the end, no matter how different our lives are, at some level we are all part of the same trauma cycle, privy of each other's sufferings.
From first sketches to watching it on screen, its been a beautiful journey. We couldn't be happier with what we were able to create. And we are delighted that Hisaab has found recognition for Best Animated Music Video in two festivals this year, @animationxpress Ann Awards, and @animatorsguildindia@agifest24 ✨

Inside the Animation✨
Delighted to share more of what went into the making of this Animated Music Video for @vivianakadivine and @karanaujla banger, Hisaab, early this year.
This one brings together one of our personal favourite sequences from the MV. Inspired from various close quarter combat sequences, most notably from The Matrix, we wanted to dive deeper into the madness of what it'd be like to pit us against ourselves✨ The Action was more like a rough, dirty brawl than a neat action fistfight, and we're so happy with how relentless this sequence turned out to be.
