05.10.25 - #Turnstile played a free concert at @wymanparkdell to raise funds for @hchomeless . Over $35,000 has been raised. They debuted NEVER ENOUGH live that evening. It was an honor to document these images in a place that feels like home. #thegreatestcityinamerica

Baltimore is home for me even though I don’t live there currently, but am hoping to return in the near future! I’m drawn to photographing the many subcultures and music/art scenes in Baltimore.
Wherever people are gathering to express themselves or support a cause I’m there to document it. I’m currently devoting time each day, since May 10, 2022, for photography and I haven’t missed a day yet (over 650 days!).
Check out my daily photos as I post them. I’m in Baltimore 3-4 times a week and when I’m not there I continue to take pictures no matter where I am. My calendar is full, but I’m always looking for tips on what to go see and photograph.
Started this project on a Ricoh GR 3 and am now using a Fuji X-Pro3. I like to use flash and in camera effects.

06.11.2024 - buddhist monks walk on a 1,483 mile journey from key west, florida to niagara falls. they walk for world peace. i talked with them for a while at city hall. one monk told me they used to love playing rock and roll music. they would play the guitar all day. i asked if he still plays or listens. he said no. he can no longer play it even listen for enjoyment. i asked him if he remembered the songs and hears them in his head. he said he hears them everyday. he told me he liked the velvet underground. the monks met with richard griffin, the director of economic development. they gave him a rubber bracelet and he gave them city coins. the peace they walk for is an inner peace. walking is a meditation.
06.10.2024 - i used to walk along the creek between market and baker park. it’s essentially a water mitigation system that prevents the town from flooding. i was given a candy apple 🍎 i found a new friend fishing. i must be lucky because someone always catches a fish when i walk up to them. unlike last time this fish was caught and released. last time it was caught and taken home and eaten. i finally find someone to pass the candy apple along to. i guess i was the delivery person from one stranger to another.
06.09.2024 - at rodeo tierra caliente, i breathed lungs full of dust kicked up by dancing boots. met raul and oreo. sweet cotton candy from mario. flowers bigger than your head and dejected. moved fences. tried not to step in horse manure. i learn of “jaripeo” arrived late and missed the bulls but the dancing and bands as loud as they are doesn’t bother sleeping on this gathering.
04.18.2026 - Snail Mail performed at Union Craft Brewing, Baltimore, for the hometown stop on the current tour of the new album Ricochet. 3,000 fans, friends, and family attended the outdoor show opened by Sharp Pins and Swirlies who Lindsey guest played along side for a song.

06.08.2024 - long day in new york. long in miscommunications. long anxious misunderstandings. it’s been over 10 years with you and i just learned you can juggle. the jugglers teach me a new skill but you long already knew. the mood is silk. my friend takes a workshop. everyone goes to washington sq park. marina mónaco has a reception at contact photo. i meet new york togs. it’s night and it’s all about the bass. it’s a birthday. it’s new york fuckin city.
06.07.2024 - many great women in my family tree, my cousin once removed’s wife, my great aunt, my step mother. i remember attending a wedding, i remember every time we met on the beach in Narragansett, the first time i visited a new house in mayo. strong wild hair, a great grandmother, a father’s keeper.
06.06.2024 - is it cliche to say “the calm before the storm” if it’s always true? my wife is an angel and she takes photos with my camera of heaven. we drive to new york for family. being a family is a choice. you have to chose them everyday. stay or exit.
